A practical skills and awareness course designed to give you:

·            Recognise the  main signs and symptoms of common mental health issues

·            Provide initial support

·            Guide a person towards appropriate professional help

·            Be mindful of your own wellbeing

·            Develop an understanding of how you can create and maintain a healthier workforce or community 

Suitable for individuals and employees who are keen to learn more about mental health and be of support in the workplace. Awareness is key to prevention. Topics include understanding the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health; anxiety and depression; eating disorders and self-harm; stress and coping skills with a particular focus on self-care.

Why mental health awareness training?

We offer the following MHFA England accredited courses:

2-day Adult MHFA England course. Suitable for individuals, line managers, employers or employees. Gain confidence in how to approach, assist and support a person with mental health concerns as a certified Mental Health First Aider.

1-day Adult Champion MHFA course. Suitable for individuals and employees who are keen to learn more about mental health and promote it in the workplace without taking on an official role.

MHFA refresher course. A half-day course to refresh and update the skills learnt at the 2 or 1-day course previously.

Supervision; for staff already qualified as MHFA aiders to update and provide ongoing support.
